Class Act Inc. has developed self-directed learning for clients that wish to put the responsibility for learning on the employee. This is not the same as self-study, which may or may not be included. The learner is given tools to guide him or her in an incremental program of learning. He or she has to get the answers or acquire the knowledge, either through hands-on projects, rotation programs, working with systems, attending outside programs, or developmental assignments. The learner takes an active role in self-assessment and works with a coach or manager.
