There is no substitute for interaction with an excellent trainer in a well-designed course that delivers the learning objectives and is appropriate for the audience. Key success factors for such programs: skill or cognitive learning objectives predominating over knowledge objectives, making basic content a prerequisite for attendance (to avoid data dumps), state-of-the-art interactive instructional design, and train-the-trainer instruction and/or certification for facilitators.
